Felder Felder at London Fashion Week

I was really lucky to work with Felder Felder for LFW (more about that later) so perhaps I am biased, but I thought that theirs was the best show on the first day. The theme this season was “rock ‘n’ roll hippy”. And it was beautiful. All of it.

The collection started off with outfit combinations consisting of metallic blue and a blue and green giraffe print which was such a fresh start and the perfect opening for the SS15 designs. With the footwear being cowboy boots designed by Jessie Western, it was obvious that there was a Bohemian 60s vibe to the show.

Bleeding red florals and bright blue and black leopard print were amongst other patterns floating down the catwalk on Friday; everything was exactly what you would need, day and night. Kimonos and shorts for chilling by the pool in the sunshine, or flippy high-necked or skater dresses for those summer nights.

This season saw the introduction of the new Flamingo print, which I’m sure has generated quite a buzz since its debut, as it is such a sexy and fun-filled pattern. This design marks exclusivity in the brand, as it is a completely unique and individual animal print.

Not to totally shy away from their comfort zone, there was some black, but in an updated style: fringed leather jackets, leather halters and pleated leather mini skirts looked fantastic on the models as they strutted up and down the runway. A particular favourite was a black lace crop top, flared trousers and kimono combination, which should have been too much altogether, but really, really wasn’t. I’ve never seen anything look so unexpectedly chic and sexy. It’s white jumpsuit counterpart looked equally has mesmerising and is ideal if you are against wearing black in the summer heat.

The last of this brilliant collection was gold metallic/sequin fabrics, in all forms, although the halter crop top and shorts pairing was what caught my eye; perfect for a night out. I wish. It was such a stunning combination, but my favourite of the SS15 designs had to be this adorable pastel yellow draped-sleeved beach dress. I am going on holiday next week and am quite upset it won’t be in my suitcase.
