OOTD

I don’t care what anyone says, I still love high-low skirts. They’re perfect for short people, like me 😉

OOTD

With the weather being so sunny in Auckland, it is hard to layer and I often find myself just wearing a sundress. This is why I rely on my jewellery and hair accessories so much.

Invest in a good lace dress. Mine has saved me both day and night as it is so easily dressed up or down. Army jacket and military boots to grunge it up or delicate sandals and dainty accessories to keep things girly.

This time round, I’ve gone for a hippy/Grecian look.

‘Check’ my OOTD

Patterned trousers are the best. Let your legs do the talking for a change! These tartan beauties are from River Island and are oh so flattering: I love them! They also have the quirky addition of stirrups which give them an extra geek-chic and ‘old school’ feel. I paired the trousers with a chiffon white blouse from Next and again, it’s the little detail, as I absolutely adore the baggy sleeves.

Previously, I’ve worn patent black loafers that have gold buckles on them (me and my detail again!!) However this time, deprived of warmer weather, I wore the most comfy boots in the world; black suede pirate-esque boots from Martha Johnson. I added my green scarf for a dash of matching colour to the green in the tartan. A bargain buy from H&M-only £3!!! My pieces are all relatively simple, allowing my trousers to be the statement item of my outfit. Tartan is a great pattern to buy into, as it always sneaks back into fashion!

Digging at the back of your wardrobe!

I posted this last night but due to a technical blip it never showed. Here it is now.

Just another outfit of the day: was rooting through my wardrobe and came across this zebra print dress from Primark. I had bought it for £6, I think, and I used to wear it all the time. I decided to put it on the other day and love it just as much! It has a batwing-style upper body and then slims down into a ruched bodycon.

I can’t live without my Primark bargains, nor can I part with clothes easily, as as you can see, what is at the back of your closet can become your best outfit this week!

Late sale find!

This is the first year I have managed to not go bargain crazy and buy everything in the sales. I feel proud and my bank balance also thanks me for it.

But I couldn’t resist these…

Ted Baker Olivie trousers. Printed trousers are my new staple. Comfy, fun, loud and pretty. Reduced to £55 in the sale and with my discount on top, it would have been rude not to, really.

Look book:

This old thing…

So I was going through my wardrobes and drawers today; sifting through what I really don’t wear enough and should go to charity shops or eBay. I came across this cute halterneck top from River Island that I bought years ago, literally, I was 11 or something.

I was just about to list it on eBay when I thought I would try it on for old time’s sake, especially as it is a size 6 and what girl isn’t looking to boost her own ego after eating way too much at Christmas?!

It fits. It looks adorable. It is no longer up for sale.It kills me to have to put it up for sale. My conscience is definitely having a fight with my brain right now.

But whilst I debate; here it is:
